It's a Wonderful Life

Today, on New Year’s Eve 2024, we celebrate bidding farewell to the old and welcoming the new. In my case, this will mean finally saying goodbye to my numerous fears related to self-worth and embarking on a journey into the unknown. I’ve long felt that writing is my calling, yet I’ve done little to pursue it. My motivation to start is the desire to help others.

I feel like I’m seeing more and more people who—mostly through the anonymity of the internet—confess how bad they feel in life, how many things overwhelm them, how they struggle with emotions, how they see no meaning in their existence, how unhappy they feel, etc. Usually, it’s just venting a thought, but nothing more comes of it, because we aren’t taught that something can always be done about a situation to make us feel better. Simply put, life happens to us, and we don’t have much control over it, right?

In my opinion, this is a flawed assumption. However, even when we try to take things into our own hands, look for information on how to change something, and come across various accounts promoting magical ways to improve our situation, it often does more harm than good and leads to discouragement. For some time now, I’ve been delving into the field of personal development, and I see how significant this topic is. It is often treated as an ideal way to sell all sorts of nonsense to people who genuinely need help. These are important matters but are often presented poorly—much like a school subject teacher you hated, only to realize years later how interesting their content actually was and regret not having a better teacher to show it to you.

"An average person knows very little about themselves. In school, we learn virtually nothing about ourselves. We never really delve into the essence of who we are – and this applies even to psychologists. Why is that? Because everything remains at the intellectual level. We don't delve into the spiritual essence of our humanity. It's sad." - Bob Proctor In a way, it’s similar to someone sharing their mental health struggles and receiving the classic advice, depending on the country: “go for a run,” “take a walk,” or “get some fresh air.” While the advice itself isn’t entirely bad, it trivializes the problem, and I feel it’s the same with most personal development topics. They’re not thoroughly explained, and the person seeking help tries to use them, sees no results, and feels even more frustrated and discouraged.

I also notice a significant gap I want to fill because the content I’ve encountered so far has either been incomplete or overly advanced, and it has taken me a long time to understand the essence of the subject. So, let me try to be your teacher and share with you the knowledge I’m acquiring, so that together we can make this life wonderful. Because you don’t have to stay in stress, fear, or unhappiness. We are born to live, and I hope I can convey that here. "Strange, isn’t it? Each person’s life touches so many other lives." - Clarence the “Angel Second Class”
